DN2 SAMPLE IMPORT

For the Digitone II sampler mod (v0.22 or later; the +Drive library: v0.31 or later). Chrome or Edge; USB CONFIG on the instrument set to USB MIDI or Overbridge. Close Elektron Transfer first.

Drag rows to change their slots. Slots 1–122 are yours.

Names: the instrument's list shows the whole name (up to 35 characters); the seven letters under it are its short name, shown where there is less room. A folder groups samples in the instrument's sample browser (FUNC + YES in the sample list). A dropped folder's samples get its name.

5 · Send

idle

Sending replaces your samples on the instrument with this list (its slots as shown); recordings stay. The samples go to the +Drive first, then into the DSP; they load at every power-on.

6 · Firmware

The mod itself (the sample machines, the recorder, PERC and the rest) is a Digitone II OS 1.11 update file, DN2mod_vX.Y_NAME_OS1.11.syx. Every build is checked by the project's ship gate before it is published, and only that exact file (its sha256) is cleared. Flash it as any Digitone II OS update (Elektron Transfer, or the instrument's SysEx receive), after backing up the +Drive. The DN2 Mod Patcher builds it in your browser from your own copies of Elektron's stock OS files (Digitone II 1.11, Digitakt II 1.17, Machinedrum UW 1.63), and lets you save it only if it is byte for byte the cleared file.
